Project Notes
The Lakes Region of New Hampshire stands out as a favored retreat for numerous New Englanders seeking respite from urban chaos throughout the year. Recognizing the allure of this locale, our clients envisioned an idyllic vacation home in Wolfeboro. The existing residence boasted a prime location near downtown and popular activity hubs, yet it lacked the modern comforts and amenities our clients desired. To remedy this, we embarked on a comprehensive renovation, gutting the entire interior and expanding both vertically and horizontally.
This ambitious undertaking resulted in a substantial increase in square footage, enabling us to incorporate additional bedrooms and entirely reimagine the existing floor plan. Drawing inspiration from the modern farmhouse aesthetic, the home's exterior showcases sleek black, aluminum-clad windows, white clapboard siding, and imposing black garage doors.
Turning our attention to the kitchen, we opted for a luxurious wood finish on the island to serve as a focal point and introduce warmth. This was juxtaposed with navy perimeter cabinets and a striking full tile backsplash above, making a bold statement and highlighting the open shelving. The spacious living room, designed for relaxation after a day on the lake, became a necessity. Upstairs, a recreational area was fashioned, featuring a pool table and additional couch space, creating an inviting setting for leisurely lounging.
