Project Notes
High above the South End this penthouse at the luxurious, Atelier 505, combines expansive views of the Back Bay with calming wood tones and architectural details to accentuate the artwork throughout. We worked with the talented architects and interior designers at Hacin to update this penthouse into one of the most desirable in the city.
Maple was used for the cabinets in the kitchen, as well as several other millwork pieces throughout for its warm wood finish which paired well with the Okatie Bianco stone countertops and white glass upper cabinets and backsplash.
The living area features the same stunning maple as the kitchen with this large built-in which was engineered to also come with a hidden television that pops up from the countertop. Resulting in a much cleaner look, the clients were amazed with this solution.
Okatie Bianco Assoluto was chosen as the countertop stone to further contrast the warmer maple wood tone with cool colors and textures alongside the glass uppers and backsplash.
This custom millwork built-in doubles as the door to the Master Bedroom and when closed, hides the bookcase for a cleaner, modern look.
